Evaluating the Effectiveness of an Online Parenting System for High-Risk Parents
This project will support development of technical innovations for the Parenting 24/7 website that will enhance capacity to deliver and evaluate web-based efforts with high-risk parents. The technical components include better tracking of individual use and automatic collection of survey data. It will also help determine the usefulness of the website to high-risk parents compared to the general population and to evaluate the effectiveness of specific components such as video clips versus written materials. The project will complement a larger longitudinal study being conducted by the University of Illinois Children, Youth and Families at Risk (CYFAR) Project in low-resource communities in three Cook County neighborhoods and in three rural southern Illinois communities.
